Mechanical Property and Corrosion Behavior of Powder-Metallurgy-Processed 3D Graphene-Networks-Reinforced Al Matrix Composites

Three-dimensional graphene networks (3DGN) have the potential to be used as a reinforcement for aluminum matrix composites due their unique wrinkled structure and cost-effectiveness. In this work, mechanical properties corrosion resistance of 3DGN in Al were systematically investigated. 3DGN/Al with weight ratios 0, 0.075, 0.150, 0.225, 0.300 prepared by powder metallurgy following ball mill spark plasma sintering. Results revealed that densification slightly decreases increase content. Increased hardness without loss ductility was recorded compared pure sample under same experimental conditions. exhibit higher currents density than aluminum, which shows addition aggravates aluminum. This study can reference future research on effect various graphene-reinforced composites.
